NATA: RTD FasTracks finances “a product of management and policy failures of monumental proportions”
The North Area Transportation Alliance (NATA) released a scathing report of RTD’s FasTracks TaxTracks program, its finances and its plan for completion. The program has long been flailing and by the latest estimates suffers more than a $2 billion shortfall. What was supposed to be a regional rail system most likely now will become a [...]
Climate scientists unleashed effort to silence skeptics
The unscrupulous efforts of some of the world’s top climate scientists to silence dissent among skeptics is the latest discovery from the Climategate emails that were leaked last week. Analysis of the messages shows that the scientists colluded together to stifle the opinions of anyone who disagreed with them.
As the Climate Change Examiner wrote:

The great coverup – Hacker exposes climate science conspiracy
Skeptics of manmade climate change may very well have found their Holy Grail. A hacker apparently broke into the computer systems of the UK’s Hadley Climate Research Unit and made off with over 1,000 emails and dozens of files. The contents of the archive, if proven to be authentic, would expose nothing less than a [...]
Broken record: FasTracks financial situation gets worse
Like a broken record that gets stuck and keeps repeating the same thing over and over again, RTD once again delivered dire news to taxpayers about the FasTracks boondoggle. RTD now says that the project which has seen ballooning costs and budget shortfalls only has enough funding to build two of the six new rail [...]
Another overseas trip for President Obama, another bow of submission
President Barack Obama is on an overseas trip that will take him to a number of Pacific nations including Japan, China and Singapore. Of course the foreign policy gaffes of this administration have been well documented. The most embarassing and humiliating event happened back in April when President Obama bowed to Saudi King Abdullah.
Apparently [...]
Some of Colorado’s congressional delegation refuse to be accountable to taxpayers
If you were on the government payroll at a salary of $174,000 and your office was operated at taxpayer expense to the tune of at least $1.3 million, is it out of line to explain to taxpayers how you are spending their money? Of course it is not. As much as those in Washington D.C. [...]
Retailers taking advantage of Veterans Day
Certainly nothing is sacred when it comes to the dog-eat-dog world of business, particularly in the retail business. Any possible opportunity to increase sales is guaranteed to be exploited. Some events however should be above this and none more so than Veterans Day.
In the week leading up to the holiday many retailers advertise their ‘Veterans [...]
Veterans Day 2009
We set aside Veterans Day to say ‘thank you’ to our veterans for their service and for the sacrifices they have made for us and our great nation. Sometimes though, we forget exactly what veterans have done to deserve these thanks.
Veterans have served in God-forsaken hellholes from one end of the earth to the other. [...]
Adams 12 to name new aquatics center in honor of veterans
Certainly I am the first one to take Adams 12 Five Star Schools to task when they do something wrong. Conversely, it is very important to applaud the district when they do something right and yesterday they did something that I find extraordinary.
The district announced that the new aquatics center on 136th & Holly will [...]
