A couple interesting political news items today... 

One, speculation seems to be running that Conolezza Rice is secretly campaigning for the VP job.  Very interesting since in the past she said she wasn't interested.  I for one find that an intriguing idea and would welcome her to the ticket.  You can read more here in this ABC News blog entry. 

Two, yet another example of Hillary's problem with the truth.  Her recent stump speeches feature a terrible story about just how messed up our health care system is.  A story about a poor uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died after being denied care at a hospital because she couldn't come up with the $100 fee.  Indeed, this sounds like a tragedy of immense proportions.  While the loss of the baby and its mother are indeed tragic, the problem is that the circumstances Clinton describe never happened.  She was never refused treatment and she was in fact insured and now the Ohio hospital is demanding Clinton stop telling the story.  Click here to read more.
