Cleve Tidwell to stay in the Senate fight

Cleve Tidwell is a former Marine and highly successful businessman seeking the Republican nomination to the United States Senate.
Despite rumors to the contrary reported by the Denver Post, candidate for U.S. Senate Cleve Tidwell says he is in the race to stay. “I am committed more than ever in my bid for the U.S. Senate seat in Colorado,” he said in a statement.
Tidwell has been trailing the frontrunners in the race but he is also a favorite of many conservative voters who question the credentials of Jane Norton and Ken Buck. The Marine has received key endorsements from a number of organizations including I-Caucus, the Conservative Party of Colorado, African-American Conservatives and other groups.
Throughout his campaign, Tidwell has stated the case that he is a political outsider that brings to the table something which all other candidates lack – business sense. He routinely reminds people he speaks to that he is not a lawyer and not a life-long politician.
The statement from Tidwell’s campaign said, “Cleve is the only candidate in the U.S. Senate race that brings business and international experience to this race. Something we need in Washington, now more than ever. If there’s anything the people are asking for this year, it’s an authentic REAL candidate to fill an office.”
