The new voice of liberalism – Cindy Sheehan
I thought I would share some of the more eloquent things Cindy Sheehan has said recently, ones that you of course would never see in the media.
"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis. I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith….That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together." — Cindy Sheehan, after her first meeting with George Bush
"The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect." — Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins
"…my in-laws sent out a press statement disagreeing with me in strong terms; which is totally okay with me, because they barely knew Casey. We have always been on separate sides of the fence politically and I have not spoken to them since the election when they supported the man who is responsible for Casey's death. The thing that matters to me is that our family – Casey's dad and my other 3 kids are on the same side of the fence that I am." — Cindy Sheehan
"I have lost almost every friend that I had before Casey died. My husband and I are separated, because he doesn't support my activities." — Cindy Sheehan
Have to add my $.02 to this one. Huh? Mr. Sheehan is on the same side yet she says days later that is what caused her divorce???
"The Iraqi people aren't freer, they're much worse off than before you meddled in their country. You get America out of Iraq, you get Israel out of Palestine." — Cindy Sheehan
Let George Bush send his two little party animals to die in Iraq. It's OK for Israel to have nuclear weapons but we are waging nuclear war in Iraq, we have contaminated the entire country. — Cindy Sheehan
"We are not waging a war on terror in this country. We're waging a war of terror. The biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush!" — Cindy Sheehan
"We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country is contaminated. It will be contaminated for practically eternity now." — Cindy Sheehan
"They're a bunch of fucking hypocrites! And we need to, we just need to rise up…" Sheehan said of the Bush administration.
"If George Bush believes his rhetoric and his bullshit, that this is a war for freedom and democracy, that he is spreading freedom and democracy, does he think every person he kills makes Iraq more free?" — Cindy Sheehan
"The whole world is damaged. Our humanity is damaged. If he thinks that it's so important for Iraq to have a U.S.-imposed sense of freedom and democracy, then he needs to sign up his two little party-animal girls. They need to go to this war." — Cindy Sheehan
"We want our country back and, if we have to impeach everybody from George Bush down to the person who picks up dog shit in Washington, we will impeach all those people." — Cindy Sheehan
"America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for…" — Cindy Sheehan
"My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel. Am I stupid? No, I know full-well that my son, my family, this nation, and this world were betrayed by a George Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11…" — Cindy Sheehan
"And I'm gonna say, "And you tell me, what the noble cause is that my son died for." And if he even starts to say freedom and democracy' I'm gonna say, bullsh*t. You tell me the truth. You tell me that my son died for oil. You tell me that my son died to make your friends rich. You tell me my son died to spread the cancer of Pax Americana, imperialism in the Middle East. You tell me that, you don't tell me my son died for freedom and democracy.'" — Cindy Sheehan
"Then we have this lying bastard, George Bush, taking a 5-week vacation in a time of war." — Cindy Sheehan
*. . . somebody's gotta stop those lying bastards. — Cindy Sheehan
"So anyway that filth-spewer and warmonger, George Bush was speaking after the tragedy of the marines in Ohio, he said a couple things that outraged me." — Cindy Sheehan
