postheadericon Headlines to ponder this weekend before you vote

Its down to the wire - think about it before you cast your ballot! Some things you may wish to catch up when browsing he web this weekend….

“The Uniter” boots dissenting newspapers from campaign plane.  Who was booted?  Three newspapers that had endorsed McCain. They are replaced with magazines that the campaign says, “reach as many swing voters as we can.”  Who are the new arrivals?  Jet and Essence magazines.  Somehow I don’t think those magazines are read by swing voters.  This vindictiveness fits right in with how the Obama campaign treats those that dare to question their world vision.

Most viewed election web video?  A video from an Iraq war vet called, “Dear Mr. Obama”.  Click here to watch it – and think about it!

How Low Can It Go? Obama mouthpiece Bill Richardson Pegs Middle Class as Those Making Under $120,000.  It would appear that the tax bracket pegged for higher taxes under Obama is a moving target and is dropping.  How long will it be before you take a hit under an Obama presidency?

First Obama goes back on his promise to accept public funding and its limits for the campaign.  This alone has ushered in a scary new era of big money in elections that is shameful.  Now the news leaks that his campaign is accepting millions of dollars in untraceable funds, much from overseas donors (illegal) and from folks that have donated more than the legal limit.

ACORN, the subject that Obama wishes would die doesn’t.  The group that has and is perpetrating one of the greatest frauds on the United States’ election system continues to be in the news.  Interesting videos of the group that Obama supports.

We have already been told that “paying more taxes is “patriotic.”  Now Obama says to not to want to give your hard earned money to others is “selfishness.”  Hmmm.  I think of another “S” word when I think of Obama’s tax plan – Socialist!

Interesting video from 2007.  Obama says use “price signals” to change energy “behavior” even if it hurts the middle class.  Nice thought, eh?

Many have likened Obama’s proposals as something of a New Deal not unlike what FDR implemented during the Great Depression.  Interesting thought but think about this.  A new study from UCLA says that FDR’s policies actually extended the Depression by seven years!  Is that what we want now?

Tony’s Rants editorial comments:  Folks, I have been asking myself – Is Obama a Clinton Democrat or is he a Carter Democrat?  I look at his stated policies and objectives and look at the history books and I don’t think there is any doubt.  Higher taxes, class warfare, a disabled military, bigger government, and others were hallmarks of the disaster that was the Carter presidency and the parallels between Jimmy Carter’s and Barack Obama’s policies are scary.  Now is not the time for this.
