Well, considering China practically owns the US. We refused to ever bow to another nation? This story is typical of how low the right will go to try to prove a point that has no relation to anything. Showing respect to another culture is weak how? Oh, everyone should bow to the US, including the descendent’s of the slaves whom we accosted. Bowing to another nation, or not is taken completely out of context. The war you speak of was one in which we gained independence from an oppresive nation. And why do you use the word “we”. “we” should be rising against any government that oppresses us, us being the people, not us being the government. Obama doesn’t represent your ideals, we get it, and that is perfectly OK, but don’t judge an act of respect as a sign of weakness, we should treat others as the constitution and civil rights act outlines, not as people beneath us.
That said, I voted for Obama, and have to admit I have not been impressed, but considering the alternative, with a vice president like Palin, I think I made the right choice!
