postheadericon Obama launches new website – Agenda disappears

Change.gov - Obama's agenda disappears from new website Within 24 hours after the election, President Elect Barack Obama rolled out Change.gov, a new website to keep Americans up to date with the transition to his administration.  The site has been heralded on CNN.com and other mainstream news media sites.  Certainly, Obama’s use of the Internet during the campaign was unprecedented and allowed him to reach millions of people so this is simply a natural continuation of him using the Internet.

I do have to wonder though…  When the Change.gov site went live, it held the governmental / legislatative agenda from his campaign.  Over the weekend, the site has been “scrubbed” and virtually all of that information has been removed.  As reported in the Washington Times, rather than having the 25 agenda items that he based his campaign on and that were originally posted to Change.gov, the site now simply has a generic one paragraph explanation of his agenda.

Interesting.  Is President Elect Obama and his team already trying to lower expectations by hoping the electorate forgets what he promised?
