postheadericon Pelosi in 2006 – Dem led Congress will be most ethical, open, honest

Elected officials really have to have grown to hate the Internet and YouTube.  They make these grandiose speeches with all sorts of promises so people vote for them and send them to Washington D.C.  Of course they promptly forget their promises and ignore their constituents’ wishes as they become as corrupt as any in the nation’s capital

Witness Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi in 2006.  All sorts of wonderful words come out of her mouth about bipartisanship, honesty, integrity, etc.  (See video below)

The American people voted for a new direction to restore civility and bipartisanship in Washington D.C.  And Democrats promise to work together in a bipartisan way for all Americans.  The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington D.C.  The Democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open and most ethical congress in history.

Now, frame that in the context of today’s debate about healthcare in which Democrats have refused to work across the aisle and now are even rejecting the traditional Conference Committee process.  They do this so as to lock out the American public and prevent us, the voters, from seeing exactly what they are doing.  It is wrong and it is corrupt, no matter which party does it.
