Presidential approval going down, down, down

Like every president, Barack Obama claims of course that he doesn’t pay any attention to public opinion polls. That is a shame because if he took a look at the latest Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll he might finally wake up and realize Americans really are not liking how he is steering the country.
According to the poll, a mere 29% of voters strongly approve of the job the president is doing. Conversely, 40% strongly disapprove – an increase of 5% just since Wednesday when the president held his primetime news conference on healthcare. Also notable is that more likely voters now disapprove of the president than approve.
Despite the ongoing media blitz from the White House and mainstream media, Americans are clearly not buying what the president is selling. All Americans – whether liberal or conservative – are naturally skeptical of bigger government and that is what they are now seeing out of Washington D.C. Measures such as cap and trade and government run healthcare are unwanted and unwarranted intrusions on our daily lives and we don’t like it.
Mr. President, take a look at the polls!
