Sentinel columnist takes a jab at Thornton mayor; Needs to check the math
Sometimes the things people say can be very amusing and such is the case this week with the latest from Northglenn-Thornton Sentinel columnist Vi June. Like all of the regular columnists at the Sentinel, the former state representative and mayor of Westminster has a left-tilt. This week she takes a very direct jab at Thornton [...]
CDOT never planned for additional general purpose lanes on I-25 in north area
This is one I came across a few months ago and kept forgetting to write about. The north area has long been on the short stick of funding from the state and the Colorado Department of Transportation. Now comes the little nugget that CDOT has never even planned to add additional general purpose lanes to I-25 [...]
Adams County gets the short end of stimulus funds
Here is a real surprise - Adams County received less stimulus funds per capita that the vast majority of the rest of Colorado. This is despite the fact that the county has one of the highest unemployment rates and the so-called stimulus was supposed to go toward job creation.
One factor in the nation’s ongoing economic woes
I recently came across a very interesting image (see below) that might shed a lot of light on why President Barack Obama and his administration are flailing on issues at home and abroad. The image is an analysis of the background of cabinet appointees for every presidential administration dating back to Theodore Roosevelt. The private [...]
ABC: $160,000 Per Stimulus Job? White House Calls That ‘Calculator Abuse’
You have to love it when even the mainstream media starts calling out the White House on its taxpayer money wasting stimulus plan. Boulder Turnpike expansion moves forward – What about I-25?
Is it any wonder that north metro area residents have an inferiority complex when it comes to transportation funding? Our highways are continually neglected and ignored by CDOT and oftentimes even our own area politicians. We have watched C-470 bring relief to the southwest metro area, T-Rex fix the disaster through the central part of [...]

Some humor to start out the work week! From the Bob & Tom Radio Show, Canadian comedian Greg Morton weighs in on the current financial crisis and how President Obama plans to get us out of it.
Join the National Tea Party – April 15, 2009
So have you had enough yet? Are you tired of a Congress and president that signed into law a $500 billion tax bill without reading it? Had enough of the TRILLIONS of dollars of spending Washington DC is saddling us and our children with? Are you sick to the stomach with the thought of the [...]
Latest transportation stimulus projects get $73.6 million – North area gets nothing
The north Denver metro area once again gets nothing with the announcement of Governor Ritter’s latest picks for transportation stimulus funds. Despite having one of the most congested sections of I-25, our needs continue to be brushed aside by the state. Click here to see what projects did make the latest list. I was told [...]
Glenn Beck – An Inconvenient Debt
This is pretty eye opening. How much is your money worth? It is directly related to how much money is in circulation – the more money in circulation, the less ‘bang for the buck’ and the greater debt. The ridiculous amount of spending implemented by President Obama and the Democrat led Congress has been well documented [...]
