Welcome to the "new" Tony's Rants!

Our conversion to a new server software is pretty much complete and we are up and running!  Among the new features:

• Comments – By far the most requested feature is the ability for you to leave comments about the articles.  This allows you to have your voice heard and share your opinion.  I have been anxious to enable this feature as I believe that communication is key in any discussion or debate.  I just ask that you adhere to common rules of decency when leaving comments.
• Categories – Along the right is a dropdown box where you can select from various categories of postings.  Unfortunately I have to go back to each and every post to edit these and will be doing that and once it is complete it will be a good way to find things.
• Search - At the top right is a new search box.  Simply enter what you are looking for and the results are displayed.
• Archives – You can click on a date on the calendar to the right to see what was posted that day or select a month and year from the drop down box.
• Tags – Tags are more or less topics or keywords associated with stories.  You will see these in various places throughout the site and clicking on them will take you to other articles with the same tag.  Be sure to check out the ‘tag cloud’ on the main page on the right.  This shows you the popularity of various tags used – the bigger the tag, the more often it is used.

I still have a bit of work to do, some of which will take me a while to work through.  Most notably:

• Images – Graphics and images in articles may not display due to their location changing.  If you find one that is missing, please use the Contact Page to let me know.
• Links – Links from within an article to another article on Tony’s Rants may not work.  Again, this is because the file names all changed with the move.  I will be working to fix these but if you find one, please use the Contact Page to let me know.
